Welcome to the Farmington Valley (CT) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, where a rich legacy of service meets a commitment to transforming communities for over four decades.

 

Founded on April 28, 1979, our chapter has been a beacon of impact in the Greater Hartford area, guided by the five areas of service: Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services, and Health and Human Services. At our core, we embrace values such as friendship, integrity, honesty, service, and family relationships.  We continue our focus on initiatives that promise to change lives.

 

Breast Cancer Detection & Heart Health Awareness:

We're committed to reducing health disparities in the Greater Hartford area, especially among underserved women. Through early breast cancer detection and heart health education, we aim to promote healthier lives.

 

Empowering Through Mentorship:

Our mentoring programs are designed to bridge gender gaps and empower young women and minority youth. We guide them towards positive lifestyle changes, economic growth, and personal growth both pre and post high school graduation.

 

STEAM Education:

We're dedicated to the "A" in STEAM, collaborating with a local middle school to inspire young students by introducing them to published authors and expanding their appreciation for the spoken word.

 

Addressing socio economic issues:

Our clothing drives, along with the creation of bags for men in homeless shelters, is part of our commitment to supporting those experiencing homelessness and providing them with essential items for better living.

 

Supporting arts:

We proudly support local artists and bring their talents to the community, enriching our cultural landscape and fostering creativity.

 

Scholarships for Youth:

We empower the next generation through college book awards, opening doors to higher education and brighter futures.
