Thank You to Our Community, Providers, and Sponsors for Making the Black Family Wellness Expo a Success!

 

The Farmington Valley (CT) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in and supported the Black Family Wellness Expo. This event, held on April 6, 2024, at the Doc Hurley Fieldhouse at Weaver High School in Hartford, CT, was a resounding success thanks to the collective efforts of our community members, dedicated providers, and generous sponsors.

To our community members, your enthusiastic participation and engagement made the Expo a vibrant and empowering gathering. Your presence and active involvement in the workshops, screenings, and informational sessions underscored the importance of prioritizing health and wellness within our community.

We extend our deepest appreciation to all the providers who contributed their expertise, resources, and time to make the Expo a valuable and enriching experience for attendees. From informative exhibitors to health screenings and hands-on activities, your contributions played a pivotal role in promoting health awareness and empowerment among our community members.

We also extend our sincere thanks to our sponsors for their generous support, which made it possible to organize and host this impactful event. Your commitment to community health and wellness is truly commendable, and we are grateful for your partnership in advancing our mission.

As we reflect on the success of the Black Family Wellness Expo, we are inspired by the collective spirit of collaboration, compassion, and dedication demonstrated by all who participated. Together, we have taken meaningful steps towards fostering a healthier and happier community.  We look forward to continued collaboration and partnership as we work together to promote health equity and wellness for all.

The Black Family Wellness Expo 2024 was produced by the Farmington Valley (CT) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated in collaboration with Weaver High School and UConn Health Disparity Institute, with additional support from Peoples Bank, CT Health Foundation, UConn Health Dept. of Public Health Sciences, UConn School of Social Work, West Hartford Rotary, Westfield Bank and Hartford Food System.
